Technology may replace my current job in the near future. What should I do?

The world is changing fast.

As you know, technology (and automation) is moving upon us fast. Very fast! Many fear tech is going to replace their blue-collar jobs soon, and they may be right. So what do you do?

Well if you can’t beat them, join them. This means you may have to join the tech industry at some point.

Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need to code in order to be in the tech field. As a matter of fact, coding (aka Software Development) is just a piece of the entire tech pie.

As valuable as coding is, there needs to be an entire business run in order for the company to be successful. Many other non-coding jobs are needed as well.

One great tech job to consider: Becoming a Software Tester.

Software Testers (also known as “QA Analysts”) are in the business of testing and making sure whatever the company’s developer built works the way it’s supposed to work. Software Testers also make sure the entire development process in itself is correct.

In short, Software Testers are one of the final pieces to the puzzle before the product goes to the consumer’s hands. If a job has Developers, it needs Testers to test the code. There’s a very high number of Developer jobs currently available (#1 job in America). That means we need a heck of a lot of testers!

So how do you become a Software Tester? There are many ways to learn the skill. We have an affordable online bootcamp called Easily Become a Software Tester (2018), which is available for everyone, no matter how much computer knowledge you have!

You don’t want to be left behind when tech jobs possibly overtake yours in the near future. Enhance your knowledge with this new skill today.
